Jill Bearup reviews Ever After
I can't believe that I've never plugged Jill Bearup before. She reviews movies set in the past, usually focusing on the accuracy of their swordfights. Ever After is a guilty pleasure for me. I don't mind "realistic" fairy tales as long as they have the right story, acting, etc. i.e. you can tell that effort was made. It's interesting how I exclusively know of Drew Barrymore from her less successful roles. I never watched The Wedding Singer or Never Been Kissed or Charlie's Angels, I know her from Babes in Toyland and Batman Forever!
