Yeah, shame on me. I just bought Captain's Holiday a few weeks ago and thought I'd toss in a reference.
As for the glory days of fiving-- "Spirits were brave. The stakes were high. Men were real men, women were real women, and small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were REAL small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri. They all dared to face unknown terrors, to do mighty deeds, to boldly split infinitives that no man had split before, and thus was the Empire forged." Sorry, random humor there. One of my trademarks. The old days of short fivers were great, but we all knew there was something better. You remind me of Jim Wright joking that his Season One and Two reviews are too long, when they were barely a couple pages.
