Thanks, Vedra. I'm sorry I got so mad, but this thread had already veered into unpleasant territory, and I wanted it back out as soon as possible. You're absolutely right that this is your thread -- next time I see this happening, I'll divert the off-topic stuff into the Talk forum.
By the way, I mentioned your interest in fiving CSI to Christian. He's delighted at the prospect.
