Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars (Can I get a FRELL YEAH?!)
Why wasn't this thread created sooner? Is it
because you all didn't want to be spoiled by all the FS news that's already on the internet, or is it because the word "soon" always means "sometime in the far distant future?" As Zeke says in the NEWS section, "Here's a LINK, and here's a sausage." Here's the trailer: PK WARS Here's what Sikozu looks like: Sikozu And here's Captain Niklo Braca: Braca And I couldn't leave without letting you see my favorite character on that show. Remember to spread the word: PK WARS will be on Sci-Fi @ 9:00PM on SUN/OCT 17, and then they'll repeat it all week long.

Looks good to me.
And what's with Chianna's eyes? Super future-seeing-powers?

I can't wait! I've pretty much been avoiding all the spoilers though, so I've not much idea of what's going to happen.

FRELL YEAH!
This is great indeed. I wonder when I will be able to see it though.

I see Harvey's still there. What would Farscape be without him?

punk rock PK redhead covered in black leather! *ROWR!* Michiel: I see Harvey's still there. What would Farscape be without him? It'd be pretty good show instead of a GREAT one! Harvey was gone for a few EPs in Season 4 but he came back into John's mind near the end, and did you see his costume in the final EP?! Michiel: And what's with Chiana's eyes? Super future-seeing-powers? Hmmm, could be? Or she had her seeing-powers removed and that change we see in her eyes is the result of the damage done from the blindness she suffered in the final EP. catalina_marina: This is great indeed. I wonder when I will be able to see it though. Find someone who has Sci-Fi channel or a really big sattelite dish pointed into space in order to pick up every cable TV station. Or I'm sure they'll have a complete version of it available on the internet, there's already a few minutes of it stolen from the FS ppl that you can download (I don't know the link though, sorry!)

That's PK leather? Ahhhh, that explains a lot. Hmm. Should be interesting.
Did anyone else think that the "Chiana can SEE TEH FUTURE OMG!" thing was pretty dumb? She was already a unique, interesting character -- she didn't need to be a cut-rate Cordelia too.

It's how they use it that counts, really. Although it's a mite Kes-like when you think about it.

Indeed. That's what I thought.
And was there ever anything that explained how she got those visions? She had some sort of symptoms already before everyone got seperated. Hearing gun-fire when someone would be shot in the future, knowing D'Argo had entered the room when she had back to the entrance, etc. And I don't think it was that dumb that they gave her something like that. The fact that it has been done before doesn't make it a bad idea. Besides, they added the blindness, making it more of a curse. Thought: Maybe that's what the Nebari mental cleansing is all about. Removing these abilities from Nebari who would show signs of it. A government tactic to make sure no one would develop them and take power.

I didn't think Chi's new powers were too dumb, but I'm totally biased when it comes to anything regarding that character. (I love everything she does, says, wears, eats, shoots, or brings on board Moya... except for that Vorc which was kinda cheesy and tried too hard to be cute.) PointyHairedJedi: ...it's a mite Kes-like when you think about it. BOOM! You just mentioned my second fav sci-fi character of all time. Thanks! Michiel: Thought: Maybe that's what the Nebari mental cleansing is all about. That's mos' definitely something to consider, because we didn't get to see too many of the other Nebari besides Chi (there was Salis, and also Varla and that guy with her in "A Clockwork Nebari" as well as Hubero from "Fractures" but that's it!) so they're still a major mystery to all of us.

FS: PK WARS
Quote:
You've captured a brilliant summary of what PK WARS is. Old charcaters die, but brand new babies are also born. Scorpy has to beg JC for the ultimate weapon, and then when we finally get to see it, we wish he was never given any knowledge about wormholes. Ever. I was holding my breath throughout a majority of the 4 hours, and I saw people crying next to me on the couch while we were watching it. I can't wait to see this mini-series again, & I'm mos' definitely going to buy it when the DVD gets released in JAN of 2005!

I really wish I'd been able to see it. Maybe I can get someone to send me this on tape too....

This is starting on Sky in a few days, I think.
My question is: is it worth watching, even though I completely lost track of what was going on in the series? I started watching, and must have got through at least the first two seasons, but then I missed an episode accidentally, and my comprehension increasingly went downhill from there.

My comprehension fell out of the back of my brain watching the old series' of Farscape. That programme started to confuse me after Chrichton chucked himself out of an airlock.

Saw part one last Sunday. And I was.... impressed. Or, to put it another way, not disappointed. This is Farscape at it's best, really. An excellent high-note to go out on, rather than the OMFGWTF?? ending of "Bad Timing".
