Default Enterprise - United

What an awesome awesome awesome episode, but I just couldn't help being sad the whole way through since I knew ENT was canceled.

And of all of Combs's characters, Shran is my favorite. Which is saying a lot, since Weyoun was such a great character too.

Same here. Watching ENT has never been such a bittersweet experience.

I know what you mean. But I am looking forward to the conclusion of this arc partly because I know what's going to happen at the end and I'm curious to know HOW it happens. I know the why. Ok sorry so cryptic but not everyone is as spoiled as I am.

IMHO, "United" is Star Trek at its best. No, I'm not suggesting in any way that it's the best Trek episode, but it has all the makings of a great one.

After all, you have the beginnings of the Federation, with a strong emphasis on cooperation and compromise, good interaction between the characters (the scene where Tucker jokingly threatens Reed with a formal reprimand comes to mind), Andorians, Tellarites, and Romulans to boot. And that's not even mentioning the Andorian Ushaan duel, which personally reminded me of both TOS's "Amok Time" and DS9's duel between Worf and Gowron (can't remember which episode).

Trek at its best.
