I would hope by now that all gamers would be familiar with the classic Zelda quote "It's dangerous to go alone! Take this."

Fans have made a few variants.

Star Wars

Lord of the Rings

Harry Potter

You all remember the classic Leonard Nimoy song "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins", right? Of course you do. Well, someone asked the cast of the Hobbit movies to read it.

Someone took the lyrics to "Let It Snow" and found clips from NextGen that featured the characters saying the words from it, then piecemealed them together. He had to tweak the lyrics here and there, most notably substituting "Make it so" for "Let it snow", but it works!

A bunch of Star Trek characters as tiny pixelated avatars. Some of them are quite good.

Forget toy bat'leths, a real blacksmith has made a real bat'leth. I also recommend this guy's other videos, including a genuine Zelda Master Sword.

I happened to stumble upon this guy Dennis Budd on DeviantArt. Among other things he's made art of several Star Trek characters, as though they were in a stylish comic book or Flash animated series.

As a bonus, here's Indiana Jones and the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman.

I enjoy nitpicking movies now and then, but not to this extent. This blog is devoted to nitpicking the fonts used in movies. I.e. is the lettering used in signs within period movies accurate or anachronistic?

TL;DR Wikipedia.

Basically "Five-Second Wikipedia".

It gets a bit edgy at times, but otherwise it's funny.

A guy has a modem from 1962 that still works. But this thing isn't a dialup modem in the strictest sense, it literally communicates to and from a telephone handset via sounds. He even connects to a text-only version of Wikipedia.

Japanese Trailer for the Sailor Moon reboot.

I just have one question: Where is the Sailor Moon leitmotif, "Moonlight Denetsu"? i.e. the theme that we all love?

Wil Weaton and friends play Star Trek Catan. I remember playing a different variant of Catan years ago, but the video just brought back the memories.

PNQ: What makes this game fun? It seems to have all of the complexity of tabletop RPGs but none of the roleplaying or depth, so what's the point? Where does the fun come in?

A guy playing "Linus and Lucy" on a ukelele.

I love this song, so of course I've heard countless piano covers. I've heard heavy metal electric guitar remixes. I've heard chiptune remixes. I've heard Christmas remixes. But this guy does something to the song that I've never heard before. It's not my favorite version of the song (incidentally, look up one of David Benoit's many covers on YouTube), but it's nice to hear something new and fresh.
