[quoteost_uid0="PointyHairedJedi"][color=#000000ost_uid0]Well, as it happens it's currently 23:35, so you'd better get a move on.[/colorost_uid0][/quoteost_uid0]
[color=#000000ost_uid0]I'm always referring to my time zone when I say "today" or "tomorrow" about updates, and I make no apologies for that.

You guys are right that (a) I didn't make the two hours and (b) it's partly because of the server downtime. Sorry about the suspense, but if it helps, I can say without reservation that it'll be worth it.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Eh, I don't plan on dying or otherwise losing my eyesight or sense of humor between now and whenever anyway. I can wait. Maybe. Â Â Â

My unusual patience is probably due to the fact that I decided by the afternoon (as in "here" afternoon) that Zeke was planning on making a dramatic entrance at the eleventh hour, proudly bearing the tray of shiny new fivers aloft for all to see. [/colorost_uid0]

That's probably not such a good idea. I mean, he'd get seriously injured if not killed in the stampede. Much safer to just airdrop them in.[/colorost_uid0]

Well apperently not, because even those two minutes were too much.

Anyway, I don't mind it being late either, as long as it's there. Too bad I don't have time to read it today, we're going to do d&d all day.

I've read Sleapers though.

Dammit. Quick, I need a plane ticket to the Netherlands.

An all-day D&D session? Haven't had one of those since high school. How I envy you.

[color=#000000ost_uid0]We get conventions every now and then. Not one game all day (unless you go to multi-parters), but 2 or 3 four-hour games. This past spring, I was able to go for a full three-day con for the first time... SOOOOO much fun. Especially since it was in my school, which I can tell you is a LOT nicer when you switch the students with roleplayers and the teachers with GMs, dress everyone up in stuff, and sell cool junk in the corridors.

There's, like, half a dozen one day events throughout Israel over the summer... so of course that's when I'm in the USA. But there's a nice big joint roleplaying-science fiction convention in October, and lemme tell you, I am counting the days. I get to run, like, three games... and [iost_uid0]Orson Scott Card[/iost_uid0] is coming! How incredible is that?[/colorost_uid0]

Actually, it was two session, and two different campaigns too. And I'm still in high school. Don't envy me.[/colorost_uid0]

I was just curious about whether it might have influenced your list one way or the other.

(For the record, the list really doesn't match the book at all. Which doesn't detract from the list's funniness at all. )[/colorost_uid0]

I would have been surprised if the Deanna Troi item, which a couple of people mentioned earlier, had matched anything that had been published with Paramount's approval. On the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me at all if there were some fanfic stories out there that have portrayed our favourite Counselor as a leather-clad dominatrix.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]In Dark Mirror, she's a cross between Al Bester (of Psi Corps), a Soviet political officer, and enthusiast of sadistic mindgames. The latter one is exacerbated by her psychic powers.

Also with the midriff-revealing tunic-y thing.

Then there's that weird, alternate-universe book series.[/colorost_uid0]

I'd sooner set the series alight than touch it. [/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]wellllll.... actually I do have both books and I actually like them. Yeah, burn me on the stake for blasphemy! I thought it was a rather cool concept because all the characters we know and.... erm, know are all... deliciously, darkly different.

Erm, no that didn't come out the way it was supposed to. Ugh. I'll just go lock myself in a small dark closet now...[/colorost_uid0]
