No, you can't slam Cleese! Putting aside Monty Python, he's still a Britcom icon and a world-class comedian in his own right.
"I shudder to think of the man at MI6 who's got more raw competence than 007. I don't think the "James Bond is a maverick, but he gets results, and that's why he does all the important stuff" theme is new to the movies." Okay, that's "prime of his career" 007. Casino Royale 007 is a newbie to the whole 00 thing. He's supposed to be trained, but not unstoppably competant.

My single biggest complaint about the movie is the silly back-and-forth "explain it to the retarded audience" bit between Vesper and the traitor guy during the audience. Struck me as lazy storytelling and not giving the audience enough credit.
My second biggest complaint is all the Sony product placement. Jeez, we get it Sony. Other than that, I got nothing.

Actually, I never really noticed product placement in the movie. Other than luxury British cars, of course.

You all seem to be working off of the assumption that Enterprise was a good show.
Enterprise was garbage.

Hey, I'm not a huge supporter of Enterprise (as many many MANY of the forumgoers will attest), but it's not garbage. I actually thought it was fine, IF you take it on it's own merits. Not stupendous, but fine. I just don't think it's Trek. If Paramount had come right out and said that it wasn't the same universe (akin to Ultimate Marvel), I would've been okay with that.
