Welcome, one and all, to an event two years in the making! In September 2003, longtime guest writer Jade asked me if she could try doing some Firefly fivers. I gave her permission, and not only did she do some, but she got so into it I decided she should go for the whole subsite. Since then, she's been working steadily, and a while ago she finished all of her episodes. ("Her" episodes are everything but the two series pilots, which are my territory, and the work of a certain other guest writer who got in just in time.) We decided to synchronize with the opening of Serenity, and here we are. Behold our newest subsite: Five-Minute Firefly by Jade.

Over the next few days, we'll be publishing fivers for every single episode of the series, including the ones that never aired. And aside from a few cameo appearances, it's all Jade. To start things off, here are the first two Firefly fivers (Firevers?) she wrote: "Safe" and "Ariel." Enjoy!

(Note: the graphics, like all others on recent subsites, are temporary.)

True, true.

And I love Book in "Safe". Good stuff all around.

Zoe: Sir, shut up.
Mal: Okay.
Hooray for Fiverfly!

..Yeah, that was pretty awful.

The entire series?

Every... single... episode?

Meaning the first entirely completed series on 5M.net WON'T be a Trek series?

That's cool

Does the entire series include Serenity? (The movie, for the really, really slow) Because it should...

Probably not, but I suspect it won't be long to follow.

Yep, TAS does count as 5M.net's first completed series. I forgot to point that out.

(By the way, it's better to edit your first post than to double-post.)

Wow, Jadey!

Very impressive... so that's what you've been up to...

Sab

PS I'm assuming this is Jade and not some other Jade. If it's not then I apologize. But I think Jade is the only guest fiver Jade and she loves Firefly... ok she's obsessed with Firefly.

Yep, this is our Jade. Remember, I've known you guys since before this site's been around. If there were some other Jade, ours would still be the one I meant if I just said "Jade." Jade prime, if you will.
