This has not been proven and in any case, not on the disc, where gravity is faster than light because light there travels at the speed of sound.

(In a non-weather situation, say a kitchen with a freezer) The current temperature is above freezing, so the water is a liquid. Water then becomes ice when exposed to temperatures below freezing for a long period of time.
