I know it is a stupid name. Totally silly, because of the endless jokes it will get. "Can I have a Wii?", "Would you like a Wii?" or "I'm playing with my Wii." are all statments I'm not looking forward to.
But it is kinda cute the names that Nintendo gets from it. i.e. There's a special mode that will keep the Wii connected to the internet 24 hours a day - even if you're not playing it, it will be in a 'low power' mode- to get updates and game demos sent to it at anytime. The name of this mode? 'Wii Connect'. Clever eh?
