 ost_uid0]Season 5 was the point at which I turned 180 degrees on DS9. I only watched a few episodes from the earlier seasons, and [iost_uid0]really[/iost_uid0] disliked them (at the moment, I can't remember why... also, I was under 15, so no accounting for tastes). Then one summer (seeing DS9 as a kids show, sadly) a public TV channel showed an episode every day... covering most of season 5. I loved every minute of it, and it's here that I saw how deftly DS9 handles the vast, complex story arcs that are its hallmark. I [iost_uid0]love[/iost_uid0] ongoing arcs, and seasons 5-7 of DS9 currently stand in my mind as the best stint of Trek ever.[/colorost_uid0]
