I finally got Linux
Guess what! I installed Ubuntu. And with that, my computer is working again. *Knocks on unpainted wood* I never actually tried Linux before. It's great so far. Well, I can't seem to get some mousebuttons installed properly, and I need to redownload my mouse-gestures add-on, and a couple of other things are annoying me as well, but otherwise, it's great.

Would I be pelted with tomatoes (or tomahtoes if you'd prefer) if I asked what the difference is between Linux and Unix?

Well not officially... Expect a post from me around December 3.
Since I've now tried both, I can honestly say that... Well, Linux is free.

It's easiest to think of Linux being a type of unix, in the same way that chocolate is a type of ice cream or glass is a type of sand. Actually the best analogy would probably be like saying what's the difference between Brand X tissues and Kleenex. Put simply, Linux is nothing to sneeze at.

Okay, moving on...
Am I the only person in the forum who played "duck duck gray duck" instead of "duck duck goose" as a child? So is there irony in the song Ironic or not? Site upon site try to answer the question, but they seem to have different definitions of "irony" to begin with.

You're hijacking my thread. :P
I got me some mouse gestures. They're a good alternative for the extra buttons on my mouse.

On a dead badger, by any chance? Also, it sounds like you're still going to have to commandeer Niels' computer for Crusader Kings, not that that's any hardship for you.

Jack Worthing: Is that clever?
Actually, it is. Very. Kudos.

Well, if you ever need a dead badger to have a go on, just let me know. I have... contacts.

"Contacts" in this instance meaning that the road is an easy stroll from the doorstep?

Oh, it's a little more complex than that. You see, Lewis doesn't have a native badger population. They all got eaten by the mink.
