Outside the last option, I would be forced to agree. Inside the last option, I am forced to disagree. At the Liberal Democratic Party convention, I would be forced to both agree and disagree, at the same time. .
So I say: Zaphod Beeblebrox for President!

Now this is a dilemma. I'd vote for the last option, but how can I vote for Doctor Who? *Shivers*

not JUST doctor who. Doctor Who AND HitchHiker's. a potent combination. So when did this fear of Doctor Who start? Have I found a chink in catalina's armour, is VOY going to win this poll, despite the fact that it makes TNG look good? Will DS9 or the last option win through as I hope? Find out in the next exuberating Post on the Hitch-Hiker's 5-Minute Voyage Fora to the Galaxy!

But only tHHG would do for me... Together with Doctor Who... That's just disturbing.

Kinda funny. The winner is currently Voyager, with a 3 way tie between the three previoius shows (excluding TAS, which I tend to lump in with the original anyway).

Even funnier, is nobody has voted for Enterprise....

I seem to get the idea from other polls that, no matter who comes in first, it seems that people's second choice is usually The Next Generation.

Oh, Enterprise is good. It's just not as good as Voyager. And there are different reasons, which i've discussed with you people in other threads.

VOY is generally regarded as the weakest series of ST tho. I don't understand the obsession with it. Overall, (excluding my last option) I think DS9 wins on purely being the best. No way around it, really. It has EVERYTHING. CD, over-arching plots, complex ideas, intellectualism AND accessibility.....great plots/dialogue....what more could you want?

Each of the Trek shows is "best" for me in some sense. TNG is the one I grew up with and the first one I think of when I hear "Star Trek." DS9 is the best-written -- not always, but it hit the highest highs. VOY is my favourite, the closest to my heart. ENT is the one I'm most enthusiastic about and the one I'm quickest to defend. As for TOS, it took me years to get into it, but now I think it's the one that impresses me most: it did the most with its resources, and didn't have any previous series to build on. It's the only Trek that can really say it went where no man had gone before.

Hey, Zeke's just like me, only I grew up on DS9 and TNG is my favourite.

Really now, there's only one Star Trek.

The best one isn't on your list -- PIGS ... IN ... SPACE!

That's Star Trek, right?

I voted for Voyager, and for one reason.

The hair.

Can you imagine the Aquanet budget in the first season ALONE?! MY GOD!
Oh well, at least it explains why the FX were usually so bad.
