The following lines make me wonder if George Lucas had Othello's "what have I done?" scene of the play (Act V, Scene ii) in mind when he wrote the Mustafar section of the screenplay:

"Blow me about in winds! Roast me in sulphur!
Wash me in steep-down gulfs of liquid fire!
O Desdemona! Desdemona! dead!"
