Well, I've found out what happened. That porn image was the hotlink graphic of the server in question. (Apparently this guy wants to make sure any hotlinker never ever EVER does it again.) What I did was technically "deep linking" and not hotlinking, but apparently this server makes no distinction.
What I was
trying to link to was an image of Zero, the character MaverickZer0 is named after, performing cool sword moves. You can see it safely by going
here; it's Zero image 1 in the Mega Man Zero category. (All the animations are worth checking out, but this is the one I meant. I couldn't find Zero doing his rolling slash, so this is his triple slash.)
So believe it or not, it's pure coincidence that the link ended in "slash.gif".
My apologies to all the victims of this. I've taken
appropriate action against the perpetrator.
