Certifiably Ingame covers the various ships called Bonaventure.
Before First Contact retconned Zephram Cochrane's life, his first warp ship was the Bonaventure. I still remember it from the novel Federation which gives a very different account of his life. In that novel his first warp flight was to Alpha Centauri and back, which took a long time.
It's odd, but in my youth I had incorporated various bits of TAS lore into my personal definition of "canon" without actually watching the show, mostly thanks to novels like Federation. I read the novelizations of the TAS episodes (
the Star Trek Logs by Alan Dean Foster) before I even knew that TAS was a thing that existed, I thought the Logs were just more stories based on TOS.
