Jedi's right that this isn't the end of Trek. It's a good point, one that was also made by Ron Moore recently. There's no need to be overdramatic -- the fact that it's the end of
Enterprise is bad enough on its own.

At this point I'm convinced that
Enterprise could have been so good it cured a form of cancer
every episode and still would have been bashed to smithereens by large parts of fandom. But I also think that doesn't matter. If there's ever been a link between quality and renewal -- or ratings -- it's long gone now.
