So I was looking through Muppet ephemera and stumbled up the archive of the Jim Henson Hour, a show that I've never seen and only learned of fairly recently.
Look at this video starting at 10:07.
They were considering an adaptation of Alice in Wonderland even back then! And doesn't the March Hare in
this video (timecode 10:09 circa 1989) look an awful lot like the March Hare in the
Hallmark version (timecode 47:30, circa 1999)?
Yikes! Obviously not the same Muppet, but clearly they took inspiration.
