Okay, that was better than aw3some. A damn good story in of itself, not just a "let's have a Dalek" episode (which to be fair to RTD I never thought it would be). Part of it I expected, and indeed welcomed, as it seems to confirm my suspicions of where the season is going to end up. Heck, I even felt sympathetic for the Dalek in question, though that's no good indicator of anything - I often manage to find sympathy for even the most hard-hearted of bastards. And, despite this being a serious episode, there was still time for a few referential in-jokes about the Daleks, though perhaps the stairs scene was overplayed just a bit. RTD has done a superb job so far, but sometimes it has strayed a little far into ridiculousness. Despite that though, I see good things in DW's future, and I actually find myself looking forward in a way to Eccleston's departure, because I know it's going to be magnificent.
