ost_uid0]I've been watching him ever since "21 Jump Street" (wait? Am I showing my age? I mean I read in my history books about "21 Jump Street"...)
What's funny about him is that right after he left that show he seemed a bit much to take, because he invests so much in a role that he comes across as full of himself. I think Chocolat was one of the first films where he was able to use his dedication without drawing too much attention to himself. But the ultimate expression of this, so far, is Pirates. From first frame to latst he is absolutely committed to the role, and yet he knows it's a lighthearted comical one and so invests it with exactly the right amount of gravity.
