Today, after not quite five years, 5MV has logged its 500,000th hit! (That's unique hits -- visits -- rather than hits in the usual sense. But who says "500,000th visit"?) I've done a Top 10 list to commemorate this milestone: The Top 10 Ways to Tell That 5MV Just Got Its 500,000th Hit. My thanks to all readers, past and present, for getting us here.

(First post!)

That is so awesome... and very appropriate, just as Fandom is becoming critical to the continuation of Star Trek. Not to mention the fact that the merchandise your Fivists (how's that, infinte improb?) have been demanding for so many years was made available just today.

1 min, 48 seconds till my 50 hour download of Stargate Atlantis Season One finishes, so I'll sign off now.

This is great news. Congratulations on a well-run and perfectly hilarious website, Zeke. Time for another round of commemorative fiver quote favorite exchanges!

After Atlantis, that is. 24 sec.

Also, WOO! 500,000 hits!

There shall be a 500,000 kilogram celebratory pie!

For those keeping track at home, that's half a gigagram.

Xeroc 05-30-2005 06:35 AM

Voyager just jumped half a million lightyears closer to home... though they still seem to be in the Delta Quadrant encountering the same species
So ... they really jumped completely around the galaxy 7 or 8 times? :b

Happy half-mil! :D :D

It seems like not so long ago we hit 100,000.

Must be doing something right. :!:

Must be the pie smell. They are certainly not coming to see John or TopHatMan

lol

sigh I seem to remember the days when a few of us DCers shamelessly refreshed the page over and over to get your hit count up... ;) lol Remember those days, Nanners? Am I the only one?

Of course every time we refreshed the page we were expecting new fivers to be published it wasn't just to get the hit count up.... :)

I just remember being excited when it went to 100 then 500....

MegaMan.EXE has collected 500,000 zenny -- which still isn't enough for that last HPMemory upgrade
How true. :D

:D :D....I've run out of things to say.

Ah, good -- I was hoping someone would appreciate that one.

Made, of course, by Bloody Stupid Johnson. Just be sure to be far, far away when the actual cooking happens though.

Also, hooray for large numbers with lots of zeros in them (but not too many otherwise they just become plain scary).

The makeup department of Farscape just hit its $500,000 cap, which is going to make the other half of the season pretty awkward

This reporter just took a $500,000 bribe to keep Zeke's latest indiscretions out of the papers (of course, the $500,000 is in store credit for a store that just went bankrupt -- sucker!)
Heheheh

Congratulations! :)
