Today you get a double-header from Derek. The half you'll be expecting is the latest Smallville episode, "Vengeance." (It's got vengeance!) The other half you won't be expecting. Remember when Marc left, and I published an ENT fiver he'd written some time ago for a 5ME "guest event" that never materialized? He wasn't the only one -- Derek had written his too. (This is impressive if you know that the event never got past the hypothetical stage and thus never had a deadline.) So, now that the event is definitely off (though something like it may yet occur), there's no reason to hold back Derek's fiver any longer. Here's Five-Minute "Dawn." Does this presage more ENT activity to come? Mmmmaybe.* * Yes. |
I adore Enemy Mine jokes. Stupid Mickey Mouse!

I actually seem to recall that that joke fell into place on its own. However, it's been two years or so since writing it, so I could be wrong.

GASP! An Entimoot fiver!
GASP! A Guest-written Entimoot fiver! "Wilson! Wilson!" "My name is Voit!" |

Think of them as aging like a good merlot. "We will post no fiver before its time."

Oh man, I just love Reed. But wait a tic...I thought there can't be any guest fivers because of legal reasons? :?: |
Apparently not.
|
Not legal reasons exactly. (Not illegal reasons either.) The point is that Christian of TrekToday signed me on to do the fivers myself, not get others to do them. Since there aren't really any episodes I don't want, that works out. This guest event would have been the only exception -- one fiver from each staff member (for the record, IJD was slated for "Bounty" and Kira for "Precious Cargo") to help me catch up.
Had Marc and Derek not written their fivers early, the event would have vanished back into the mist from whence it came. Since they did, once the plan became null and void there wasn't much else I could do but publish them on their own. |
