Most users ever online was 57

...should I even ask why that happened? What was there, like, a bot swarm on the forum?

MaverickZer0 07-30-2006 08:52 PM

I have no clue. It's either that or a glitch, because we don't have that many active users.

Burt 07-30-2006 10:01 PM

*Shock!*

...They're here.............!

Zeke 08-01-2006 03:12 AM

Our hitcount was average that day, so it's probably a glitch. Bots are certainly a problem, though... I've been stuck deleting them at the rate of three or four a week. I'll need to find a better solution.

PointyHairedJedi 08-01-2006 06:14 PM

...Get someone else to do it for you?

The explanation is simple, of course, though I must admit it is rather an unusual manefestation of MPD.

Chancellor Valium 08-07-2006 09:49 PM

...END OF LINE.
?

PointyHairedJedi 08-08-2006 12:59 PM

That's the MCP, I think you'll find. :p

Chancellor Valium 08-08-2006 07:03 PM

The difference being...?

PointyHairedJedi 08-09-2006 12:33 PM

How are a fictional evil computer program and Multiple Personality Disorder different? Yes, that is a tricky one.

e of pi 08-09-2006 05:36 PM

Well, I'd say HAL had both.

PointyHairedJedi 08-09-2006 06:58 PM

HAL wasn't evil, just badly programmed. That's what happens when you subcontract to Microsoft on these sorts of things.

Chancellor Valium 08-09-2006 07:14 PM

I thought it was IBM...?

PointyHairedJedi 08-10-2006 11:04 AM

IBM-compatible, perhaps.

Chancellor Valium 08-10-2006 01:43 PM

Ahh.

Still, if you think that Microsoft screwed up with HAL, look what they did to the Mad Mind...

PointyHairedJedi 08-13-2006 01:06 PM

I haven't been called that in a very long time.

Oh, you meant someone else, did you?

Chancellor Valium 08-13-2006 06:43 PM

Uhh, yes.

Diaspar?

e of pi 08-13-2006 07:06 PM

NO idea what you're talking about, sorry.

Chancellor Valium 08-13-2006 10:34 PM

The City and the Stars, by Arthur C. Clarke?

PointyHairedJedi 08-14-2006 09:32 AM

Arthur who?

e of pi 08-14-2006 04:05 PM

Is that a short story?
