Of course, SG-1 is one show where all I need to do is check the transcript and even ten-year-old memories of watching the show come racing back so I can five it.

I'm looking at a good couple hours for a draft, and usually the first draft sucks. Then a second draft, then--back when there were updates--submission and feedback leading to a third draft.

All told, quite a few hours on each and every fiver.

Well, there's a difference between writing A fiver and writing A PUBLISHABLE fiver. For official fivers I've only ever had one that Derek said was good as is, and even that one I tweaked just a bit before considering it good.
