When are these coming?

It was an errent google that led me to the fiveminute battlestar miniseries, and then to this site, so I have a question, Will there be more battlestar galactica fivers? I would love to see more

Also 4th season of enterprise? when will we have fivers there?

When will the cows come home? How long is a piece of string?

Answer: Soon ;)

ijdgaf 02-09-2006 09:33 PM

The official policy on BSG fivers is ";)".

The official policy on Season Four fivers is "soon".

Oh, and welcome to the forums -- hope you stick around, this is certainly a fun place.

Maybe the cows are following the piece of string?

Or the piece of string is the same length as the distance the cows have to walk to make it back?

e of pi 02-12-2006 04:36 PM

Hmmm. 47? 42? Then again, religeous debate isn't allowed, as I recall.

Zeke 02-12-2006 05:25 PM

That's politics. Religion is fair game unless it becomes a problem.

e of pi 02-12-2006 06:39 PM

Such as the morality of 42 vs 47?

Well, we all know what the answer is, but I think the answer to this specific question must be: a fish.

whoiam 02-12-2006 06:46 PM

What morality? 42 is the answer, and 47 is the universal delay constant.

Chancellor Valium 02-12-2006 06:52 PM

The what-now? What's a universal delay constant when it's making itself a cuppa?

whoiam 02-12-2006 06:56 PM

Whenever anything in sci-fi is timed or delayed, it's either for a multiple of 47 seconds, or by a multiple of 47 seconds (depending on whether it's a timer or delay). Thus, 47 is the universal delay constant.

But it isn't, is it? For example, all-in-all, Arthur Dent's dental appointments were delayed throughout his timestream by exactly forty-two seconds.

e of pi 02-12-2006 08:53 PM

Good point.

whoiam 02-12-2006 11:04 PM

Maybe I should correct that to the 'fiver delay constant'.

Air. The not-quite-final frontier. These are the voyages of a bunch of mindless loons, our five-year mission - to seek out new pools and new chlorinations, to boldly jump where no idiot has dared jump before!

e of pi 02-13-2006 09:46 PM

Done. Next?

Hah! My turn!

richardson 02-14-2006 04:32 AM

You guys still using the old 1.5 smiting system?

I upgraded to the Saber of Smiting during my crash. Smiting version 3.0 baby!

KillerGodMan 02-14-2006 05:08 AM

You too?

Sweet, I'm not the only one then!

richardson 02-14-2006 05:19 AM

Yours is the 2.7 Saber of slicing.

I'm a little more advanced. *Has the cooler lightsaber sounds, and a really pointy saber.* Hmm, I wonder if I could poke Zeke into getting into insane speeds...

Nah, I'd probably make him explode like that poor creature that got zapped by Klingo painsticks 6 zillion times.

whoiam 02-14-2006 06:39 AM

Nah, the only way to hyperaccelerate Zeke is using the old pie and stick method - suspend a pie in front of him using a long stick and put a bunch of fiver submissions in front of him...

e of pi 02-14-2006 09:56 PM

Don't forget to put im on a treadmill first. Have to power the computer.

Chancellor Valium 02-16-2006 08:24 PM

Actually, this is Mjolnir, to be precise. Smiting 4.0b :)

e of pi 02-16-2006 09:49 PM

What are you talking about?

richardson 02-16-2006 10:02 PM

hah! Zeke, is there yet smiting 4.0?

And a beta version at that from the sound of it?

Ahh. You have the adamantium upgrades, yes? Those are still in the post...

richardson 02-18-2006 05:07 AM

Bah. Adamantium is over-rated.

Technobabblium, on the other hand, is an invincible, super substance capible of creating whatever effect is needed.

e of pi 02-18-2006 05:40 AM

Good stuff, that technobablium. Almost as good as resetium.

Chancellor Valium 02-18-2006 11:53 AM

Unfortunately both react with just about every element on and off the periodic table - the exception being caesarium.

Whereas adamantium has closed shells of electrons.

richardson 02-18-2006 02:36 PM

Vallium, the whole point is that technobabblium does react with everything, making it stronger.

Hmm.... *Checks the periodic table...* Hey, you do realize that the only elements with closed shells are noble gases, right? (And all that implies.)

I did say on and off. FYI, adamantium is a noble solid. Earth civilisation won't discover them, though. That's why they have such trouble over dalekanium...

I also said that technobabblium reacts violently with just about everything except caesium. With caesium it fizzes and then crumbles into carbon and solid bromine.

That sounds like brioschite.

It does have characteristics remarkably similar to both. It also shares with Thaumaurium the habit of turning into lead the next morning.

e of pi 02-19-2006 06:57 PM

Robine does that too. It'll stick around all night, first, though.
