Alphabet Story
The rules of this game are simple. Each person posts one sentence for the story, but the first word must begin with the next letter in the alphabet from the previous post. I will start.
Captain Janeway was fast asleep in her quarters. The next person's sentence will start with the letter "D" |
Dreams - and any uninterrupted sleep at all, for that matter - were rapidly becoming a valuable commodity on a ship under siege.
Gatac |
Everything in a dream came out okay, unlike the situation to be had with the Voyager.
For weeks, the ship had stayed on yellow alert, with no respite in sight.
Gatac |
Green-skinned Aliens, while short in height, used their sleeping weapon on the crew, which is the only weapon they use to take over unsuspecting ships.
How long they have preyed on unsuspecting travellers no one knows.
Infamous throughout the entire sector, there was only one thing they feared.
Gatac |
John, with his ability to die alot and his favorite weapon, pie.
Killed permanently, he could not be.
Live, he was now, the the aliens didn't want that.
Making a plan to kill him once and for all was proving difficult.
Not only could they not kill him, they couldn't find him either.
"Oh, woe is me" said the alien, whose name was Odo.
"Perhaps you are having a bad day?" replied another alien named Fred.
"Quite", said Odo.
"Remember the plot!" blurted out by a random voice in space.
"So, then, oh yes, well, how is the plan going? You're not just complaining about everything again, are you?" inquired a nervous alien officer stepping into the room.
"Two Voyager crew members are missing, and we have lost gravity on deck 47." said an alien security officer.
"Unrelated? Unlikely," added another, "so we're still searching for them."
"Veni, Vidi, Amitto!" shouted the cowardly alien in the corner, nervously.
"When did we get a deck 47?" asked Fred.
"Xeroc may know. He is a dedicated programming fan. We must ask him," replied the alien somehow named Odo who could be the Odo but at the same time may not be...
"You're an idiot! You know that, don't you," replied another alien, who lacked a nose.
"Zzzzzzzzzz," was all that was heard from a little sleepy alien in the corner.
"Arise, my sleepy alien. Today is a new day to conquerr. Go get the...WEAPON!" said the alien with the evil smile.
"Buh? What's happening? Is it sunday yet?", the sleepy alien responded.
Carefully, Redshirt Hanstetermanemonon set a trap for the Odo-which-was-both-Odo-and-not-Odo.
"Don't forget to turn the trap on." reminded the D'uh warning label.
"Emergency! Emergency! All hands to battle stations! We're under attack!", was heard over the comm suddenly.
"For the love of J/C, MOVE!" Janeway shouted, awoken by the alarm.
Gingerly as could be, Voyager moved about 47 centimeters to the right, narrowly missing an unidentifiable yet scary flashing beam of some sort.
Heavy metal fans admired Voyager's armour plating, as they waved faintly in her wake.......
"Internal sensors report the crew are waking up!", fractically yelled an alien on the bridge.
"John must DIE!" the alien leader yelled back.
Kirk applied some mascara to his knees.
(Locate the person who wrote that last sentence, and fire him. -Editor)
Mascara was meant for Lt. Rand, but he missed when the ship was fired upon.
Not that it mattered.
Or indeed, had anyone cared, it still wouldn't have.
Possibly, it would, well... no, no it definitely wouldn't.
