I wasn't really keeping track but looking at PHJ's list I see that I got five of them with out trying. And one of the ones I missed is a forum member that I'm not familiar with. Stupid computer :madder:[/color:post_uid0]

Here's my offcial final count:
Well, we have the three worlds the story takes place in -- the one with the police station and Shariff Dean, the Mirror Universe, and the "Pi is Exactly Three!" World Then, mentioned briefly -- Part One: Elbonian Mafia Universe, Nazi World, The Gangster World, The Dimension of Pain, The World Without Shrimp, Backwards Went Time Where One The, Giant Mice Land (Disneyworld ), Seven different places Zeke got arrested (including the bee-eating incident) - i'm not sure if those are separate worlds or not, but I'll assume so for now. Part Two: The Casino World Part Three: The Wizard World, The World Where Sandwiches Eat People, Medieval World Part Four: The World Where Everyone Spoke in Questions, The World Where The Penalty For Everything Was Being Sneezed On Part Five: The Matriarchy World, The Valley Girl World Part Six: The Whoopee Cushion/Pie World, The Militant Hermit Crab World Part Seven: The World with Instentainious Brain Downloads, The One Where Cedar Trees Were Extinct, The Horse/Cow War World Which brings my count to 30, unless I made a mistake, which I probably did ;)[/color:post_uid0] |
Sax did pretty good, so a few clarifications on the way I'm counting, at least. One, we're not counting the unnamed worlds where Zeke got arrested. (Key word: unnamed.) Two, my count is 28 assuming Elbonian Mafia World and Gangster World are two separate worlds.
(Hint: most of the ones sax is missing are in part 7, and some are more subtle than others.)[/color:post_uid0] |
lets see...
the one with the rhinoceri the one with the radioactive zebra stampedes the one with the mud sharks the one ruled by chlorofluorocarbons (i love that word) and from part 5 the one where the guys were chained and dressed in skimpy clothes and nearly got sold off to some wealthy businesswoman's harem just because they were guys and i beleve that brings sax's count to 28 (unless i messed up which is unlikely ;) )[/color:post_uid0] |
Looking at sax's list, the only ones I can see that he missed are the World that hated I, from Part 1, and the Chlorofluorocarbon Dimension (ruled by chlorofluorocarbons) from Part 7. I also didn't think that the seven worlds or the bee-eating incident should be counted, as it was unclear whether they were separate from the named worlds.
I guess that makes my count 25. (Going back over my initial list, I find I was trying to count one world twice and a couple of other references that didn't qualify.) And Katy Jane, the one to which you refer in Part 5 is the one sax names "Matriarchy World".[/color:post_uid0] |
"World that hated I" isn't a separate world -- it's Marc's response to IJD mentioning the world where time went backwards. (Get it? :D) I counted No Bee-Eating World, mostly because it sounded funny.[/color:post_uid0]

>> And Katy Jane, the one to which you refer in Part 5 is the one sax names "Matriarchy World" <<
Correct. Good name suggestion, too -- a lot shorter than "The World Where Women Rule Over Men", which is sort of how I thought of it. >> The Valley Girl World << Yes, that was the other one. More precisely, it was the world where everyone *talks* like valley girls...implying that even elderly male politicians, conservative lawyers and so forth say things like, you know, "tubular!". And, of course, "like, you know."[/color:post_uid0] |

oops thats a good argument for why i shouldnt post right after work and before i get some sleep.[/color:post_uid0] |
Are you sure you don't mean 'sleap'?
I believe evil is the word you're looking for.[/color:post_uid0] |

*slaps forehead* [i:post_uid0]Ohhhhhh![/i:post_uid0] I'll just plead brain-dead, thank you. ;)[/color:post_uid0] |
[quote:post_uid0]Are you sure you don't mean 'sleap'?
[/quote:post_uid0] I actually saw "sheep". I blame the glare on the screen and the fact that I was stretching and looking out the corner of my eye.[/color:post_uid0] |
Sheep?
BAAAAaaaAAAAA.[/color:post_uid0] |
Mooooooooooooo![/color:post_uid0]

What is this, Five-Minute "Animal House"? ;)
The Dimension of Pain is a Sluggy reference, right? (Sluggy rules.)[/color:post_uid0] |
[quote:post_uid0="Nan"]The Dimension of Pain is a Sluggy reference, right?[/color:post_uid0][/quote:post_uid0]

I've been working two jobs, and haven't gone online
too frequently, but I started reading [b:post_uid0]Sleapers[/b:post_uid0] near the beginning of this week and will (hopefully) finish it over this weekend. Whenever the 5MV staff comes up with a unique feature for this website (like the [b:post_uid0]Top Ten lists, TJI,[/b:post_uid0] and also the [b:post_uid0]Panel Discussion[/b:post_uid0] from last June) it really shows off how great their combined talent is. :D These collective creative explosions gives us all an additional series to have fun with, and we get to yak about them on the [b:post_uid0]Forum[/b:post_uid0] with everyone who's new & old (and confused.) [b:post_uid0]Fivers[/b:post_uid0] are really great. I love reading them a lot, & writing them is an incredible challenge which never ceases to both stimulate and frustrate me at the same time. However, it's always awesome to see something new & wonderfully entertaining on [b:post_uid0]5MV,[/b:post_uid0] and the [b:post_uid0]Sleapers[/b:post_uid0] mini-series is mos' definitely one of those terriffic things that I wish more websites would try to do more often. [b:post_uid0]*thunderous applause*[/b:post_uid0] Keep up the excellent work everybody! [b:post_uid0]Purnell:[/b:post_uid0] (pulling out a sidearm and a badge) You have the right to remain silent. [b:post_uid0]IJD:[/b:post_uid0] What the--? You're a cop? [b:post_uid0]Purnell:[/b:post_uid0] Plainclothes. The dog is my partner. ([b:post_uid0]Aki[/b:post_uid0] grins toothily.) Everytime I read that it causes me to grin toothily too! :D Â  Â :D[/color:post_uid0] |
[quote:post_uid0]Those who didn't spot the two Ki missed on first reading aren't likely to find them at all -- there's a little specialized knowledge required.[/quote:post_uid0]
So, where were they then?[/color:post_uid0] |
As I mentioned before, the reference is in the Pokemon movie poster that is mentioned in part 7.[/color:post_uid0]
